After self publishing her first children’s book, Low-Down Dirty Words, Kathy Dow started the rounds of visiting elementary schools to spread the word of “Kid Kindness” among young people. One school filmed an assembly that later appeared on Black Entertainment Television’s “Book bag” segment which aired across the Scores of young kids wrote the author letters identifying with her message that “Low-Down Dirty Words are hurtful. She was interviewed for a story that aired on In addition Kathy made appearances at seminars and other programs directed towards teaching kindness among peers and spoke to middle school preteens about the importance of treating one another with respect. Her book was widely accepted by celebrities including those attending the Emmy Awards Gifting Suite in January of 2007 and reviewed in the LA’s the Place, Los Angeles magazine. Kathy is a former school teacher and has written contributing articles for other publications. She has formed her own publishing company, KayStar Publishing and looks forward to helping others bring their message to life. |
